The following reFort highlights the operating experience of Wolf Creek Generatiry Station for the month of September,1987. This report is being provided pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.1.8.
I.
SUMMARY
OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE Unit operation at near 100 percent power was interrupted by two unplanned trips in Sep* Taber,1987. Core coastdown conmenced on September 18, 1987. Following the second trip, a decision was made on September 27, 1987 to remain down for the refueling outage. The month ended with the Reactor in Mode 5, cold shutdown.
II.
MAJOR SAFETrY RELATED MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES 1.
The compressor for the Control Room air conditioning unit, SGK04B, was rebuilt arr3 returned to service.
2.
Motor operated valve testing for IE Bulletin 85-03 was conpleted on six valves.
3.
Replaced a potentiometer and a modutronic unit on Auxiliary Feedwater control valve, AL IN11, motor-driven punp "A" to steam generator "C".
4.
Replaced a vacuum transducer in Control Roan ventilation radiation I
monitor, GK RE-04.
5.
Replaced a power isolation and input-output board in Containment radiation monitor GT RS-31.
