' This letter addresses the inspection of your facility at Huntsville, Alabama conducted by Mr. R. Moist of this office on September 28-29, 1987, and the discussions of their findings with MR. J. Hazeltine and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.

The purpose of this inspection was to review equipment qualification test results of electrical cable' splices for use in the Farley Nuclear Plant.

Areas examined during the NRC inspection and our findings are discussed in the

'1 enclosed report. This inspection consisted of an examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.

j Within the scope of this inspection, we found no instance where you failed to J

meet NRC requirements.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Comission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed report will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
