MEMORANDUM At the July 24, 1987 oral argument on the pending appeals, we will expect NRC staff counsel to be prepared to furnish upon request the following information:
1.
With respect to the disposition of Coalition Contention I.B.2, has the staff performed a follow-up audit of the applicants' environmental qualification files?
If so, did that audit encompass the entire set of files (or just those previously found to contain deficiencies) and where are the results of the audit documented?
2.
With respect to the disposition of Coalition Contention II.B.2, what is the current status of the Commission's promised rulemaking proceeding pertaining to the interrelationship of the terms " safety-related" and "important to safety"?

With respect to the disposition of the Attorney General's late-filed contention pertaining to the Merrimac sirens, have summer background sound measurements been performed (see - staff brief at 28) ?
If so, what were the results of those measurements, have they been reviewed by the staff, and where are they documented?

With respect to the disposition of SAPL late-filed Contention 38, has the staff verified that the corrective actions referred to in the Le.zarus affidavit have been completed?
5.
With respect to the disposition of SAPL Supplemental Contention 6, has the staff confirmed the completion of the rearrangement of the containment isolation status indicator lights?
