Suite 2900 Atlanta, GA 30323 Attention: Malcolm L. Ernst Acting Regional Administrator, Region II Re: University of Florida Training Reactor Facility License: R-56, Docket No. 50-83 As per telephone call of 21 February, 1989 to Mr. Robert Carroll relative to the potential failure to report a significant change in Level 1 administration of the University of Florida Training Reactor, the Reactor Safety Review Subcommittee (RSRS) has reviewed the occurrence and concluded this to be a potential violation of Tech Specs, Section 6.6.3, Paragraph (1) pertaining to the requirement that such changes be reported within 30 days. The RSRS has instructed NRC notification as per Section 6.6.2 Paragraph (3)(g) of the UFTR Tech Specs. The RSRS has evaluated this event not to have involved any significant administration oversights. Per the telephone discussion with Mr. Carroll, normal operation of the UFTR has been resumed.
