Gentlemen:
On September 30, 'i987, TV Eled' ric letter logged TXX-6771 provided t
notification of.a' deficiency involving the use of improper welding processes
-in the manufacturing of cable tray tee fittings. -The latest report on this issue was TXX-88808, dated November 30, 1988.
This report is submitted to update the status of the corrective actions for Unit 1.
'The. engineering e\\aluation discussed in TXX-88808 is continuing and has identified the need for field modifications.
Completion of the engineering -
l5 evaluation an'd associated field modifications is scheduled for May 30,_1989.
The completion schedule for Unit 2 has not changed.
