-l' Performance Testing of Relief and Safety Valves Gentlemen:
1 The Reference requested that Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation l
(WCNOC) develop and implement procedures for inspection and maintenance of 4
pressurizer safety valves following each valve actuation involving a loop I
seal or water discharge.
This request was made by the NRC to address a
'l concern related to the operability of the safety valves following. a valve actuation involving a loop seal or water discharge.
j In response to this NRC Staff concern, WCNOC will develop and implement administrative requirements ensuring that after a pressurizer safety. valve j
actuation invelving a loop seal or water discharge the valve will either be replaced with another valve, or inspected to verify that no valve degradation occurred.
These administrative requirements' will be fully implemented by November 30, 1987.--
