Davis-Besse On-Site Telephone System Conversion Gentlemen:
.This letter'is to inform you of an upcoming change in the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station on-site telephone system.
Commencing at 1700 hours0.0197 days <br />0.472 hours <br />0.00281 weeks <br />6.4685e-4 months <br /> on 1
February 24, 1989, the two telephone systems at Davis-Besse vill be combined into'one Centrex System. The conversion vill cause some temporary loss of service; however, all lines should be converted by Monday, February 27. The-NRC Emergency Notification Systeu (" red phones") vill not be affected by this conversion.
Conversion to the Centrex system vill allow direct inward dialing (without the assistance of an operator) for those' lines currently utilizing extension numbers. The new telephone exchange for the Centrex numbers vill be "321" followed by a four digit number. Those extension number presently beginning with a "7" will remain the-same (e.g., extension 7XXX will'become 321-7XXX).
However, the extension numbers beginning with a "4" will be changed to an "8" with the last three digits remaining the same (e.g., extension 4XXX will become 321-8XXX). Numbers already on the Centrex system (e.g., 898-2ZZZ,-
249-2XYZ) vill not change and vill not be re:noved from service during this conversion process.
