With reference to the above export license application, a copy of which is enclosed, I am writing to ask for NRC's kind co-operation to assure the timely approval of the application so that we may proceed with the' shipment of nuclear material, enriched. uranium hexafluoride thereunder, scheduled for April, 1989.
As you are aware, nearly four months have elapsed since this application was filed and we, as well as, all other parties in both the U.S.A. and Japan are anxious to receive the approved license from the NRC.
So, it would be greatly appreciated if you would kindly use your best efforts in relation to the agencies concerned and the government of Japan, so that the export license will be issued in time to meet the scheduled shipment of the material.
