Enclosed is GE Drawing 12904744, Revis' ion 3, which supersedes the revision referenced in Certificate of Compliance No. 5980. The revised drawing shows a change to correct a potential problem with liquid entering the area between.
the internal support ring and the cask shell via the lifting ear bolt holes.
The change involves drilling and expanding the lifting ear bolt holes and installing a 1-1/2-inch 12 UNF steel boss. The boss is tapped to receive the lifting ear bolts. Additionally, there is a sealing weld between the boss and the cask shell.
As the tap in the boss is the same size and depth as the original bolt holes and as the threading on the boss exceeds that of the bolt holes, the new assembly is at least as strong as the previous configuration.
A check for $150.00 is enclosed.
