The first' item.is SECY 87-151h entitled 10
" Request for an Independent Task Force to Reviewithe South-
'll Texas Allegations and a: Motion.to Quash the' Subpoena."
12 The commission, in effect, is being> asked to respond-13 to a May 29, 1987 request from Ms. Billie Garde to quash a May 14 20,.1987 EDO subpoena and a petition under 10 CFR 2.206 for the 15
' establishment of a task force, independent of NRC Region IV and 16 the EDO to investigate allegations concerning.the safety of the 17 South Texas project.
18 All Commissioners have approved an order, which is 19 attached to our memorandum of July.14th, denying the motion to 20 quash the subpoena and a letter to GAP' responding to the 21 request for'an independent task force.

The second item is SECY 87-157.
It's a 2
revision of 10 CFR Part 1 and conforming amendments.
In this 3
paper, the Commission is asked to approve publication of a 4
final rule change to 10 CFR Part 1 and other conforming 5
amendments which reflect the recent completion of NRC's 6
reorganization and to fulfill the NRC obligations under the 7
Freedom of Information Act.
8 All Commissioners have approved the rule revisions 9
with a modification proposed by Commissioner Carr.
