4 This is in-response to your inquiry of Septemb'er 12, 1978, regarding NRC's investigation of allegations concerning the security program at the Commonwealth Edison Quad cities i
Nuclear Power Station near_Cordova, Illinois.
The NRC. investigation of this matter which you. referenced in your letter, has, as you know, been completed.
A copy of the draft report was. forwarded to the U.S. Department of Justice.
However, at the specific request of Justice, NRC has held both the processing of civil sanctions.and public release of the final version of this document in-abeyance pending a decision by Justice as to whether

criminal prosecution is' warranted.
The matter is still before a grand, Jury.
