Dear Mr. Miraglia:
The District would like to reconfirm the granting of an additional thirty days to respond to Mr. Dennis M. Crutchfield's letter, dated August 26, 1987, regarding the results of chemical analysis and material testing of safety-related fastener materials obtained during a maintenance inspection conducted on February 9-13, 1987 at the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station.
In subsequent discussions with Mr. Jeff Harper, the District requested that the Commission provide the stock numbers of the nonconforming fastener materials and any other identification to facilitate our evaluations. During a telecon with Mr. George Kalman on September 17, 1987, the District requested and was verbally granted an additional thirty days to respond to the Commission's August 26, 1987 request, due to the unavailability of the field inspector.
