Limerick Generating Station, Units 1 and 2
~ Revisions to Physical Security Plan
Dear. Sir:
This letter. submits, in accordance with 10 CFR 50.4(b)(4)(iii), an original and three copies of a revision to the Limerick Generating Station (LGS) Physical Security Plan. This revision consists of a title page, cover page, table of contents page 3, and page B-1 of Appendix B dated March, 1989. Also enclosed is a revision to Drawing E-10063.
This revision is being submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2) and has.been determined to not decrease the effectiveness of the LGS Physical Security Plan. This revision was discussed during a meeting on December 21, 1988 at the NRC Region I Headquarters between NRC staff and representatives of the Philadelphia Electric Company. The purpose of the meeting was to review a phased approach to incorporating plant security for Unit 2 at LGS. The revisions detail this phased approach.
In addition, as a result of the December 21, 1988 meeting, we request that the Physical Security Plan revision submitted on July 29, 1988, and dated February, 1989, be withdrawn. Additional Physical Security Plan revisions based on comments received subsequent to the December 21, 1988 meeting are being prepared for submittal to the NRC in March, 1989.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 and 10 CFR 73.21, we request that the enclosed revision to the Physical Security Plan be withheld from public disclosure.
