TROJAN NUCLEAR PLANT Fire Protection Plan Document This letter provides thirteen (13) copies of Topical Report PGE-1012 Trojan Nuclear Plant Fire Protection Plan, Volume I, " Program Description",
and Volume II, "10 CFR 50, Appendix R Review".
Each copy is current through Amendment 3.
Picaso discard all copies of the original PGE-1012 document (and all amendments thereto) previously submitted in October 1976, and the Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 50 (10 CFR 50) Appendix R Review Report (and amendment thereto) previously submitted on July 31, 1984.
The purpose of this submittal is to provide the NRC with the most current documentation available for the Trojan Nuclear. Plant fire protection program. The attached documents reflect the following:
1.
A revision of the original PGE-1012 topical report format and Appendix R Review Report into two volumes; Volume I describing the fire protection features and organization of the Plant, and Volume II describing com-j pliance of these festures with Appendix R to 10 CFR 50.
Volume I of PGE-1012 is a reformat and update of the original PGE-1012 document dated October 1976, and amendments thereto. Volume II of PCE-1012 is an update of the original Appendix R Review Report dated July 1984, and amendments thereto.

Information provided in Portland General Elcetric (PGE) letters dated December 20, 1985; October 16, 1986; November 17, 1986; and May 8, 1987, responding to Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requests for information on exemption requests for Fire Areas A4, A4a El, T1, and Y1.

Relevant information from continuing PGE design review efforts on Appendix R, including:
Updated design and installation of Plant modifications in a.
accordance with previous plans identified in the original Appendix R Review Report and Amendment 1 thereto.

Updated Combustible Loading Table (Volume I, Table 3-2).

Relevant references to NRC Generic Letter 86-10, in lieu of previous references to NRC Generic Letter 85-01.
5.
Typographical corrections and minor technical clarifications and corrections.
6.
Inclusion of " Operating Specifications" in Chapter 8 of Volume I.
These operating specifications are a compilation of the fire protection related specifications in the Trojan Technical Specifications. A License Change Application to delete fire protection related specifica-tions from the Trojan Technical Specifications, pursuant to NRC Generic Letter 86-10, will be submitted in the near future.
