The purpose of this modification is to increase the contract ceiling, to provide incremental funding, and to modify the funding mechanism (See Modification No. 4) established from funds presently allotted to this contract in order to pay for telemetry services through October 1987. Accordingly, the contract is modified as follows:

It is estimated that the total cost to the Government for full performance of this contract will be $381,872.02.

Total funds currently available for payment and allotted to this contract are $381,872.02.
L (a) The contract ceiling and total funds currently available are I
increased from $341,872.02 by $40,000.00 to $381,872.02.

-(b) The amount of $40,000.00 presently furnished is to be utilized to pay for seismic data transmission (telemetry) expenses for l
the period July 1986 through October 1987.
1 (c) A ceiling of $11,545.91 for telemetry costs is hereby -

established within the amount of $301,813.00 (the original contract ceiling amount covering program costs only.and not telemetry costs).
This leaves a total of $290,267.09 to lie utilized on the Northeastern Seismic Research Program Costs -
l Task 4 as described under the basic contract.

In summary, under the subject contract, S290,267.09 is to be l
- utilized for program costs, $40,059.02 is to be utilized to pay I
for telemetry expenses for the period April 1985 through June 1986 (See Modification No. 4), and $51,545.91 represents a not to be exceeded ceiling for telemetry expenses for the period July 1986 through October 1987.
This results in a total contract ceiling of $381,872.02, 3.
It is estimated that the amount currently allotted will cover telemetry costs through October 1987 and program costs through January 1988.
All other terms and conditions of the contract remain the same.
