This modification exercises the optional Phase III under the contract entitled, "Model Evaluation / Validation," incorporating the Contractor's proposal dated March 16, 1987, increases the contract ceiling amount and the obligated amount, and e>,tends the period of performance. Therefore:

In accordance with Subsection H.10 of the contract entitled, " Option to Extr.nd the Term of the Contract--Services," the Government hereby exercises the Optional Phase III as originally set forth in Section C of the contract and which has been modified by Westinghouse Proposal No. 84M14960, dated 3/16/87.

The contractor's proposal dated March 16, 1987 in the amount of
$224,174.00 for performance of Phase III is hereby incorporated into this contract by this reference. The contractor shall deliver, to the NRC Project Officer, the Cognitive Environment Simulation computer software and related documentation developed during the course of Phase 111 evaluation. Delivery of these products shall coincide with delivery of the final report.

Subsection F.3 of the contract entitled " Duration of Contract Period" is l
revised as follows:

"The contract shall become effective on the effective date as specified in block 3 of the Standard Form 26 (May 1, 1985) and shall continue through June 30, 1988."

Subsection G.1 of the contract entitled " Consideration" is deleted in its l
entirety and the following is substituted in lieu thereof:
G.1 Consideration Estimated Cost, Fixed Fee and Obligation Phase I It is estimated that the total cost to the Government for full perfor-mance of Phase I of this contract will be $152,380.00, of which the sum of $147 943.00 represents the estimated reimbursable costs, and of which represents the fixed fee.
Phase II It is estimated that the total cost to the Government for full perfor-mance of Phase II of this contract will be $240,113.17 of which the sum of $233 119.46 represents the estimated reimbursable costs, and of which represents the fixed fee.
Phase III It is estimated that the total cost to the Government for full perfor-mance of Phase III of this contract will be $224,174.00 of which the sum Mre.00 represents the estimated reimbursable costs, and of which of $217 644 presents the fixed fee.

Therefore, for Phases I, II, and III:

't is estimated that the total cost to the Government for full perfor-mance of Phases I, II and III will be $616,667.17 of which $59 706.46 represents the estimated reimbursable costs, and of which represents the fixed fee.
Funds of $75,000.00 are currently obligated for performance of Phase III of which $72,815.54 represents the reimbursable costs and 6 represents the fixed fee. Therefore:

Total funds currently available for payment and allotted to this contract for Phases I, II and III are $467,493.17 of which $453,878.00 represents the estimated reimbursable costs and of which Mepresents the fixed fee.

It is estimated that the amount currently allotted to this contract will cover performance of all of Phases I and II and all of Task One and part of Task Two of Phase III which is scheduled to be completed on or before December 31, 1987.
Accordingly, Subsection B.2 is revised as follows:

All other terms and conditions of this contract remain unchanged, including the terms and conditions as set forth in Modification No. 2 of this contract, regarding Background Proprietary Information and Rights of Data Use.
