REVISION TO THE GENERAL STATEMENT OF POLICY AND PROCEDURES FOR ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS
Purpose:
To obtain Comission approval of publication of a revised General Statement of Policy and Procedure for Enforcement Actions.
Discussion:
On March 6,1987 he srtaff (thro h the Office of Administration) forwar' ed a revised General Statement of d
Policy and Procedure for Enforcement Actions to the Secretary for signature and publication in the Federal Register. The revision was in response to general direction provided by the Comission in decisions on SECY-86-234, SECY-86-235, and SECY-86-332.. 'In a Memorandum

1987 the' Secretary informed the staff that the Connission had agreed to the revised policy statement subject to certain changes and requested the staff to revise the policy statement as noted in the memorandu:n and return it to the Comission for an affirmation vote.
Enclosure (1) is the Federal _ Register Notice regarding the policy statement, revised in accordance with the June 4, 1987 memorandum.
Enclosure (2), a line in, line out version of the changes made, is included to facilitate Commission review.
Coordination:
The Office of the General Counsel has no legal objections to this paper.
Recommendation:
That the Comission approve for publication in the Federal Register the revised General Statement of Policy and Procedure for Enforcement Actions set forth in Enclosure 1.
