INTRODUCTION TO SHELTER DISTRIBUTION MAP This map displays the locations of potential New Hampshire shelters L

identified by Stone & Webster's 1986 report entitled "A Study to identify Potential Shelters in the Beach Area Near Seabrook Station".

The map includes the towns of Rye, North Hampton, Hampton Beach, and Seabrook.

It is based on a US Geological Survey 7.5' series topographic map, Hampton Quadrangle New Hampshire-Rockingham Co.

Locations of potential shelters are indicated by number.

Locations and counts of cars taken July 19, 1987 are indicated by large type and provide estimates of population distribution along the beaches.

There are 4 fewer establishments (110) on the map than in Stone &

Webster's report (114) because:

1.

Three of the buildings no longer exist (State Park Bath House; Duffy's Rooms; White Rooming House), and 2.

S&W separated the Royal Crest Motel into 2 establishments, Royal Crest North and Royal Crest Motel.

On the map and in SFRA's report, they are one establishment.

DISCLAIMER This shelter information on this map map is based soley on Stone &

Webster's report. It is no.1 based on SFRA's findings. The map includes buildings which are partially or totally wood-frame, and those with only crawlspaces or otherwise inappropriate " shelter" space. Their presence on the map does not imply endorsement of their use as potential shelters.

July 1,1986 This report presents provisional estimates of the total net intercounty migration of the household population under population as of July 1,1986, for 3,138 counties and county 65 years old, reported resident birth and death statistics to equivalents in the United States (including census areas in estimate net natural change, and data on Medicare enrollees Alaska, parishes in Louisiana, the District of Columbia, and to estimate the population 65 years old and over.
