living in the Towns of Hampton, Hampton Falls, North Hampton, South Hampton, Kensington and Rye, placed Warrant Articles in the Town 6b78 p Meeting Warrants as follows:
"To see if the Town will D
vote to protect the health and. safety of all residents Stratham NH by directing Town public safety officials to ensure that Town emergency plans take into consideration the opera-tion of Seabrook Station, providing that the cost of these plans will be borne by the Seabrook owners through existing agreements with the State of N.H.
These plans ahall be developed regardless of any decision to reduce the official Emergency Planning Zone around Seabrook Utation", or similar wording.

In addition to the preceding rejections of this blatant attempt by N.H. Yankee /Public Service of N.H. and their employees, the following action was taken at these same Town Meetings concerning nuclear waste from Seabrook:
South Hampton voted "To see if the Town will vote to in-struct the Town's representatives to the General Court to take all necessary measures to insure that no low level radioactive waste from the Seabrook nuclear power l
station shall be stored or disposed of within the Town of South Hampton unless and until the proposed site of the proposed storage or disposal has been approved by the voters of the Town at the annual Town Meeting by written ballot".
Kensington amended the same motion to read "any nuclear plant" and passed it.
North Hampton l
amended the same motion to include the words "or any other source" after the words Seabrook nuclear power s tation.
Hampton Falls changed the motion to read "To see if the Town will vote to instruct the town's repre-sentative to the Court to take all necessary measures to insure that Hampton Falls will not be a repository for any nuclear vaste unless and until the proposed site of the proposed atorage or disposal has been approved by the voters of the town at the annual Town Meeting or Special Town Meeting by written ballot", and passed it.
Hampton changed the motion to read, "To see if the Town will vote to instruct the town's representatives to the General Court to take all necessary measures to insure that no low level, or high level radioactive wastes from any source shall be stored or disposed of within this Town of Hampton.
Because of Governor Sununu's demonstrated opposition tohome rule on matters relating to the Seabrook nuclear power plant, our Representatives to the General Court are instructed to inform the Governor as follows:
That due to his continued blatant and arrogant disregard for our safety, relative to his adamant support for the operation of the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant, that should he disregard this expressed request for home rule rights, then our Representatives to the General Court have been instructed to support any and all recall or impeachment proceedings which may be initiated against him", and passed l

To see if the Town will vote to reaffirm its long standing position that the emergency planning for~Seabrook Station does not provide adequate safety for the people of Rye in the event of a major accident at Seabrook Station and that no operating license should be issued unless the emergency plan is approved by majority vote of Town Meeting after a 1
public hearing by the Board of Selectmen.
David MacDonald moved adoption of Article 14. seconded by J.P. Nadeau.
Mr. MacDonald said the article was intended to get a sense from the townspeople as to whether or not they approved of the direction.taken by the Selectmen with regard to emergency planning for Seabrook Station.
Beverly Grimes moved, seconded by Barbara Flynn, to move the question.
Requires a two thirds vote.

To see if the Town will vote to oppose any relaxation of existing safety standards for nuclear power reactors and hereby petition the Nuclear Regulatory Commission of the United States to deny the request of Public Service Company of New Hamp-shire for a reduction in the mandated ten mile emergency planning zone surrounding the Seabrook Nuclear Power Station.
The record of this vote shall be transmitted to the Governor of the State of New Hampshire, the New Hampshire Congressional Delegation, the Atomic Safety and Licens-ing Board, The Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the President of the United States."
Voice vote was in the affirmative.
