SUBJECT:

CONFIRMATORY SURVEY OF ADVANCED NUCLEAR FUELS CORPORATION CENTRIFUGE TEST FACILITY (CTF)

L On May 20, 1987, I received the final report of the confirmatory survey conducted by the Oak Ridge Associated Universities (0RAU) survey team. The findings of the ORAU survey support the close-out survey performed by the licensee and confirm that the radiological conditions satisfy the NRC guidelines established for release for unrestricted use. Two copies of the report are enclosed herewith.

It is our recommendation, based upon the ORAU survey data, that the CTF be removed from the license (SNM-1227) and released for unrestricted use.
