of Frenchtown, Michigan. This was a joint exercise for the State of Michigan (partial participation), Monroe County (full), Wayne County (full), Browns-town Toanship (full) and Detroit Edison Coupany. h e counties are impacted by the Fermi II plume exposure 10-mile Emergency Planning Zone (EPZ). 'Ihe report dated May 20, 1987, was prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region V.
J In the October 22, 1986, exercise there were no Deficiencies observed. W ere were several Areas Requiring Corrective Action (ARCA) observed. A copy of I
this exercise report was forwarded to the State of Michigan. On May 15, 1987, the State of Michigan responded with a schedule of corrective actions which was reviewed and approved by FEMA Region V as indicated in the attached m3morandum

dated May 20, 1987.
1 Based on the results of the exercise activity, it is FEMA's view that there was nothira that adversely impacted the March 9,1987, FEMA approval of the Michigan Offsite Radiological Emergency Preparedness Plans site specific to
]
the Fermi II Nuclear Power Plant under 44 CFR 350. Therefore FEMA continues l
to find that thete is reasonable assurance that offsite preparedness is adequate to protect the public health and safety in the Fermi II EPZ.
