Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No. 1 Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 Technical Specification Amendment No. 113 Gentlemen:
This letter is in response to a
request for additional information stated in the NRC SER issued with Technical Specification Amendment No.
113.
We are withdrawing that portion of the amendment request concerning the Table 3.6-1 revised radiation monitor setpoints because:
1)
The Emergency Action Levels (EAL's) contribute to the basis for the radiation monitor setpoints and work has been initiated to revise the EAL's.
2)
Since BV-2 is operational, it is desirable to develop a common BV-1/BV-2 accident source term for Emergency Planning purposes.
The source term basis for the radiation monitor setpoints would require a change based on this analysis.
Therefore, since the radiation monitor setpoints and basis are expected to change from those previously submitted, we may submit a subsequent request for a Technical Specification change based on the resulting EAL's and revised source terms.
Very truly yours, o_
