Dear Administrative Judges:
On September 14, 1987, Judge Bloch requested that the Staff answer two questions related to the matters raised in Brazos Electric Power Cooperative (Brazos) Motion for Declaratory Order (August 14, 1987).
Judge Bloch queried whether the NRC Staff: (1) had seen the two sets of documents which were the subject of Brazos' Motion, and (2) if not, whether the Staff had any intentions of reviewing the documents.
The Staff has not reviewed the documents identified by Brazos. Moreover, as suggested by the Staff in its September 14, 1987 Response to Brazos' Motion (c. f. pp. 8-9, 14-15), the information set forth in Brazos' Motion regarding the nature and substance of the two sets of documents is insufficient to warrant Staff review of the documents at this time.
If Brazos subsequently provides additional Information on the identity, nature and substance of the documents, either to the Licensing Board or directly to the Staff, the Staff

will assess this information to determine if its decision not to inspect the documents should be changed.
