The enclosure to this letter containh,,Amendmt ntl' to Verrnont Yankee's original submittal of information for use Yn the Eppendixl1 evaluation (Reference 3).
Amendment 1 contains both the radiological dose assess-rnent for Vermont Yankee's demonstration of Compliance with Appendix I, as well as updated meteorological dispersion parameters which were used in the donc calculations. A recent review of the meteorological literature relative to the calculation of deposition rates indicates that the mgt_ generally used approach 1nvolves the ratl)od of_p,1,ume depletion and deposi. tion yclocity'. Thl.s approach was p srLtc _recal-culhT6TlIE~k/ fan [plQ_valiiss in an itfempt to use"as realistfc~rEdeling
