20555 Gentlemen:

DOCKET NOS. 50-266 AND f,0-301 METEOROLOGICAL MONITORING SYSTEM POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT Our letter dated November 30, 1987 discusred changes in our commitments regarding meteorological and dose assessment softwear for use at our Point Beach Nuclear Plant.

We have noted a clarification and a correction which should be made to the November 30 letter and attachment.

On page four of the letter under Item 3, we discuss a subroutine to our MAD and MADCR programs which is being developed to l

recognize and acccunt for the lake breeze phenomenon.

This subroutine will conservatively account for potentially increased concentrations, i.e.,

decreases diffusion associated with a lake breeze.

This will be accomplished by accounting for the

" trapping" associated with the lake breeze phenomenon rather than " recirculation" as stated in our letter.

In Attachment I,

the main tower, or Tower 1, is said to be a j

35 meter tower.

Tower 1 is actually a 45 meter tower.
