Dear Mr. Calvo:

Please find enclosed a copy of the "PCRV Tendon Interim Surveillance Report" for Fort St. Vrain, dated January 1988.

The enclosed report presents and discusses the findings of the fifth six-month interim tendon surveillance program period. The findings of the fourth six-month interim surveillance period were reported and submitted under the Reference (1) letter.

The submittal of the enclosed report fulfills the fifth semiannual commitment of Reference (2), Item 2.

For future tencon surveillance, PSC would like to follow the i proposed revised interim tendon surveillance program schedule as I outlined in the Reference (1) letter. Your concurrence to implement l this revised program is requested. Because the next round of tendon j surveillance needs to be started no later than the end of February i 1988, PSC respectfully requests NRC response to the proposal made in l the Reference (1) letter to support this schedule. i l
