The number of equivalent grams of U-235 is determined by the equation:

Transportation Bran'ch A3 proval Record Model No. NRB<-42 and NRBK,43 Packages Docket No. 71-5814 Revision No. 5 i
.By application dated September 18,1987(S#87-2738) Division of Naval Reactors, Department of Energy requested an amendment authorizing the addition of a thermal shield to the Model No. NRDK-41 packaging. The' application also addressed a new product container identified as MIN-41 which replaces those containers presently listed in the certificate for use with the NRBK-41 package.
The applicant requested that a revised Certificate of Compliance, having an expiration date of -April 30, 1991, be issued to authorize the use of the modified NRDK-41 package with the MIN 41 inner container. To accommodate this request Certificate of Compliance No. 9221 is being issued for the Model No. NR8K-41 package. All references to the Model No. NRBK-41 and product contair.ar IN-41 have been removed from Certificate of Compliance No. 5814 including Condition 6.
No changes, other than the deletion of Nodel No. NRBK-41 package, have been made to the certificate of compliance.
In accordance with your application the expiration date of the certificate of compliance remains April 30, 1988.
