NUCLEAR PROJECT NO. 1 AND NO. 3 RESPONSE TO COMPLIANCE BULLETIN 87-02 FASTENER TESTING TO DETERMINE CONFORMANCE WITH APPLICABLE MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS The subject Bulletin requested that licensees and construction permit holders respond within 60 days and provide information regarding receipt inspection, internal control procedures for fasteners, and the results of independent testing of fasteners.
The Supply System is the holder of construction permits for WNP-1 and WNP-3.
WNP-1 has been in a deferred construction mode since 1982, and WNP-3 has been in a deferred construction mode since 1983.
At this time, there is no projected date for restart of construction of either project.
Because the plants are not operating or under active construction, we propose to defer our response to the Bulletin until after restart of construction, such that established programs can be described and testing can be performed.
