20555 Gentlemen:
LIQUEFIED FLAMMABLE GAS SHIPMENTS ON DELAWARE RIVER HOPE CREPK GENERATING STATION, NPP-57 DOCKET NO. 50-354 Amendment No. 5 to Construction Permit CPPR-120 for Hope Creek Generating Station required PSE&G to monitor activities related to the shipment of liquefied flammable gases on the Delaware River.
This Construction Permit condition was closed by our submittal of November 4, 1986 (C.A. McNeill to E. Adensam) which summarized the monitoring activities through the period up to receipt of Operating License NPF-57.
He recently reviewed an earlier report on the monitoring activi-ties during 1984 that was submitted to you by our letter dated February 7, 1986 (C.A. McNeill to E.
Adensam).
During this review, we found a figure incorrectly duplicated and a table incorrectly summed.
Please replace Figure 2 and Table 2 of the original report with the attached revised pages.
The.se j
minor corrections do not change the conclusion of the mo.4.toring activities which showed that the total number of shipments of f
liquefied flammable gas passing in front of Hope Creek has re-mained relatively constant or decreased during the period 1977-1986 and that the probability of a waterborne transportation accident affecting the safe operation of the plant is well below the established acceptable probability.
Should you have any questions on this transmittal, do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely, y
