'The purpose of this modification is to clarify the period of performance to distinguish between the basic contract 9eriod.and the options to continue the lease period; to more accurately state the intention of the parties.
Accordingly, the.following changes are made to the contract:
Page 9, Section F.4: Delete in entirety and-substitute the following:
"This contract shall commence on April 1,1987 and will expire on September 30, 1987.
The performance period will be extended when the Government exercises.
the options in the contract."
l Page 16, Sections H.8 and H.9 are clarified to provide that the preliminary i
notice of intent to exercise the options will-be written notices.
Page 18,Section I, Clause 52.217-9; paragraph (c):. Delete "six (6) years" cnd substitute "five (5) years and six (6) months." Add the following sentence:
"This time limit does not apply to the option for the SNUPPS simulator software upgrade described under Section H.9 of the contract herein nor to the delivery times for other documents and spare parts described in Section H.8."
