Washington Public Power Supply System (WPPSS Nuclear Project No. 1) Docket No. 50-460-OL Gentlemen:

In accordance with the October 14, 1983, Memorandum and Order in the captioned proceeding, the Washington Public Power Supply System hereby submits its seventeenth quarterly status report regarding construction activities at WNP-1.

During the fourth quarter of 1987, no significant safety-related construction activities were performed at WNP-1, although a limited engineering effort was continuing.

We do not anticipate any change in this level og activity during the next several months.
