l As a result of the inspection conducted on August 10-14 and 19-21, 1987, and in accordance with 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C - General Statement of Policy and j
Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions (1985), the following violation was identified:
Technical Specification 4.11.1.1.1 requires that radioactive liquid wastes be sampled and analyzed according to the sample and analysis program of Table 4.11-1.
Table 4.11-1 requires that certain named principal gamma emitters, including Cs-134, be detected at a concentration greater than 5 x 10-7 uCi/ml (Lower Limit of Detection).
Contrary to.the above, on July 22, August 4 and 9, 1987 the licensee spectroscopy system failed to identify and quantify Cs-134, present in liquid waste samples, at concentrations greater than 5'x 10-7 uCi/ml.
