Enclosure:
SQN Units 1 & 2 Description of Revision/Change cc: NRC Regional Administrator - Region II NRC Senior Resident Inspector - Sequoyah Nuclear Plant NRC Director - Division of Fuel Management, NMSS
ENCLOSURE: SQN UNITS 1 & 2 DESCRIPTION OF REVISION/CHANGE EPIP-1, Revision 55 Wording in Section 3.1.N. was updated concerning the notification of the State from less than fifteen (15) minutes to within 15 minutes. This aligns the wording with 10 CFR 50, Appendix E, Section IV.D.3, and the Radiological Emergency Plan (REP)
Section 5.2.1.A.
Certificate of Compliance 1032, Amendment 3, was added to Table I-1 of the wallboards and as a reference in Initiating Condition (IC) EU1. There was no change in values from the previous revision.
In Fission Product Barrier Matrix Loss 3.A, references to Central Emergency Control Center (CECC) EPIP-19 were removed concerning how the value is derived for the containment high range radiation monitors and it was replaced with reference to calculation TIRPS193, Appendix A, Table A8-2. This ensures that the actual calculation where the value is derived is being referenced vice another procedure. It also ensures that when TIRPS193 is revised that EPIP-1 is identified as a potential impact.
EPIP-3, Revision 40 Added References to 10 CFR 50.72 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix E. Added the title for each 10 CFR reference on page 5, Section 2.1.
Revised Chemistrys secondary phone number to 843-6348 on page 9, Section 3.4[1.1].
EPIP-4, Revision 42 Added References to 10 CFR 50.72 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix E. Added the title for each 10 CFR reference on page 5, Section 2.1.
EPIP-5, Revision 51 Added References to 10 CFR 50.72 and 10 CFR 50, and 10 CFR 72.75. Added the title for each 10 CFR reference on page 7, Section 2.1.
Added conditional steps to ensure that during an FG1 IC that the Emergency Action Levels (EALs) the IC was declared on are documented and communicated to the CECC Director on page 9, Section 3.2[1][1.3], and page 32, Section 1.1[1].
Revised the Revision Log for Revision 50 to include changes to Appendix H.
