STATUS OF RECOMMENDATIONS: AUDIT OF THE U.S.
NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSIONS SAFEGUARDS INFORMATION LOCAL AREA NETWORK AND ELECTRONIC SAFE (OIG-13-A-16)
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff is responding to your memorandum, Status of Recommendations: Audit of NRCs Safeguards Information Local Area Network and Electronic Safe (OIG-13-A-16), dated May 5, 2020 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML2016G260). The updated status of recommendations 3 and 7 are included in the enclosure. Recommendations 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6 were closed previously.
Because of the unique and unanticipated challenges presented by COVID-19, coordination and completion of the Global Infrastructure and Development Acquisition contract, and resultingly, the target completion dates for recommendations 3 and 7, have been impacted.
