This is a Category 1 meeting. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion of the meeting but before the meeting is adjourned.
Purpose:
The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to discuss with NextEra its forthcoming license amendment request to modify the Point Beach Unit 1 License Condition 4.I, Containment Building Construction Truss, by extending, on a one-time basis, for another 18 months to the spring 2022 Refueling Outage. The one-time license amendment is requested due to unforeseen issues as a result of the current COVID-19 pandemic.
