Significant work activities during the 1" quarter of 1998 included correction of improperly positioned Reactor Brilding containment isolation valves, discovered during performance of a surveillance in Februaiy 1998. The associated upstream isolation valves were verified to have j
been in the closed position, thus providing containment isolation. In addition, various repairs
{
were performed on poitions of the electrical system, service air system, and ventilation systems.
Dismantlemen* p" non-radiological equipment continued with the removal of piping, inactive
{
electrical circuits, and othei miscellaneous material located in the Service Building, Control i
Building, and the Turbine Building.
Please contact Adam Miller of the TMI Nuclear Safety and Licensing Department at (717) 948-8128 if you have any questions regarding this report.
