April 30,1998 Mr. Al Adams U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Mail Stop O-11-B-20 Washington, DC 20555 Dear Mr. Adams Enclosed is a list of the TRIGA research reactor components. Allitems are held by Arkansas Tech University with the exception ofitems 18,38 and 39. The control console (item 18) has been transferred to the VA Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. A new fission chamber and a new uncompensated ion chamber (items 38 and 39) are at General Atomics, San Diego, California.
Arl:ansas Tech University is directing General Atomics to ship items 38 and 39 to the University of Utah. The remaining components are scheduled for a May 8,1998 departure from Russellville, Arkansas and a May 11,1998 arrival at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
