revising e requirements of 10 CFR Part 34. "Licerises for 1"dustrial Radio and Radiation Safety Requirements for Industrial Radiographic Operations.grnhy The revision, which contained numerous changes in the requirements also modified the quality assurance (0A)-requirements for transportation.
As a result of these
-changes, a separate NRC QA program approval is no longer needed.
S)ecifically, transportation activities are now contained in a new paragraph 10 C:R 71.101(g)d maintenance programs liniited to radiographic exposure devices,This provis inspection an source chansers, or packages transporting these cevices and meeting the provisions o" 10 CFR Part 34.31(b) or equivalent Agreement State regulations, satisfy the gewral license requirements specified in 10 CFR Part 71.12(b) for Type B transport packages.
