Dear Mr. Berger:
Your Quality Assurance Program A) proval No. 0155 is hereby terminated. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission puilished a final rule, ef fective June 27, 1997, revising the requirements of 10 CFR Part 34. " Licenses for Industrial Radiography and Radiation Safety Requirements for Industrial Radiographic Operations," The revision, which contained numerous changes in the requirements, also modified the quality assurance (0A) requirements for transportation. As a result of these changes, a separate NRC OA program approval is no longer needed.
Specifically, transportation activities are now contained in a new paragraph.
10 CFR 71.101(g). This provision was added to the regulations and requires that ins arograms
