1 As we advised you in writing on June 26, 1997, the subject contract expired on June 13, 1996, and we are initia'ing closeout action. To complete closeout requirements, we must deobligate excess funds remaining under this contract for other immediate agency requirements. Therefore, enclosed for your review and execution are three (3) signed copies of the subject modification deobligating excess funds in the amount of $1,023.16.

Please have an appropriate official sign all three (3) copies and return two (2) copies to the address below within ten (10) days from.date of this letter. You should retain one (1) fully executed copy for your files /

Therefore, the purpose of this modification is to decrease the amount obligated by the Commission, Accordingly, the contract is hereby revised as follows:

Under Subsection B.5 CONSIDERATION AND OBLIGATION DELIVERY ORDERS. the amount obligated with respect to this contract is decreased by $1,023.36 from

$56,968.68 to $55.945.52, thereby decreasing the total estimated amoun'; for full performance under this contract by $1,023,16 frcm $56,968.68 to

$55.945.52. Therefore, Subsection B.5, Paragraph (b) of this contract is hereby revised as follows:

• B.S. CONSIDERATION AND OBLIGATION DELIVERY ORDERS (JUN 1988)

(b) The amount presently obligated with respect to this contract is

$55,945.52. The Contracting Officer may issue orders for work up to the amount presently obligated. This obligated amount may be ,

unilaterally increased from time to time by the Contracting Officer by written modification to this contract. The obligated amount shall, at no time, exceed the contract ceiling as specified in paragraph.a above. When and if the amount (s) paid and payable to the Contractor hereunder shall equal the obligated amount, the Contractor shall not be obligated to continue performance of the work unless and until the Contracting Officer shall ir, crease the amount obligated with respect to this contract. Any work undertaken by the Contractor in excess of the obligated amount specified above is done so at the Contractor's sole risk "
