Sewage survey Guidance document

' Summary:

OMB is still reviewing the survey before granting approval.

l The. Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) for the survey will be completed when we have finalized the survey design.

Lee Abramson reported on his ongoing analysis of the results from the test sites to d termine if there are significant differences between the ORISE and l

NAREL results.

There was discussion about the sources of uncertainty in the ENCLOSURE 2

The dose modeling working group plans to meet in April. -The EPA-NORM contractor is, performing dose modeling using the results from the test sites-

At:the March 12 ISCORS meeting. Bob Bastian ask ISCORS for assistance'in determining whether.to include a table ofJacceptable concentrations'in +.he l

POTW guidanca document and the appropriate dose limit for this table. A table u

Loren Setlow is attempting to set up al conference call for Monday, March 30. The subcommittee members are assembling information for the phone-call on background soil concentrations and clearance lev'els for consumer.

The group agreed to review Phyllis Sobel's list'of the comments on the 1

guidance document and determine assignments.for each response.

The next subcommittee meeting will be held on May 26 at NRC in Rockville.

Maryland. -At this meeting we will discuss the report on the test sites, the list of POTWs to be sent the questionnaire, comments on the guidance document I

and the stacus of the dose modeling working group.

Action Items:

1. - Lee Abramson will finalize the analysis of the test site data to determine if:there are any significant differences between the ORISE and NAREL results.

2. ~ Tony Huffert will continue the analysis to determine the cause of any systematic differences between the labs data.

Scott Telofski of NAREL will also compare the data from the two labs.
