Dear Dr. Paperiello:
In accordance with 10 CFR Part 76, the United States Enrichment Corporation hereby submits twenty (20) copies of Revision 7 (March 20,1998) to DOE /ORO-2026, Plan for Achieving Compliance With NRC Regulations at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant"(the Compliance Plan).
' Revision 7 incorporates changes to Issue 36, Seismic Capability of Buildings C-331 and C-335.
These changes were previously submitted for your review in accordance with 10 CFR 76.45 and were approved, with modifications, as Amendment 15 to the Certificate of Compliance GDP-1 in your letter dated March 20,1998 (TAC NO. L32028). Revision bars are provided in the outside margin to identify the changes. Revision 7 was implemented on March 20,1998.
As issued, Amendment 15 reduces the time requested by USEC for implementation of the seismic modifications to Buildings C-331 and C-335 from 18 months to 15 months. USEC provided the j
NRC with the basis for the 18-month schedule in letter GDP 97-0166 dated September 19,1997.
USEC will keep NRC informed of progress toward meeting the June 30,1999 implementation date.
