NRC EMERGENCY RESPONSE WORKSHOP i
Dear Mr. Iverson:
i ~ NRC invites one member of your staff or other cognizant State person to a one day training session on the NRC Emergency Response Data System (ERDS) at the NRC's Region 1 Office
" on either September 17 or 18. The ERDS is an online, real time data transmission system for communicating plant systems information from nuclear power plants. This data is available for State decision makers following an emergency classification of Alert or higher and could
! be used to provide information on plant conditions for early protective actions decisions.
I The NRC is in the process of upgrading the EROS software. This upgrade is available to
- States and training on both the upgrade and previous version of the software will be offered during the one day session. The NRC will pay for one State attendee. This person should
- have a good technical knowledge of plant parameters and how they affect protectivs actions as well as the ERDS system. They should also have the ability to take the information back to the State and train other potential ERDS users.

9 DIRECTIONS FROM PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT From the Airport, take I-95 South towards Chester. Follow I-g5 South to th for I-476 North (Blue Route).
Follow I-476 North to the exit for I-76 West (Schuykill Expressway). Follow I-76 West to the exit for Route 202 N Forge / King of Prussia). Follow Route 202 North to the traffic light at Road. There will be an EXXON Gas Station on the left Get side and :
