NRC EMERGENCY RESPONSE WORKSHOP
Dear Dr. Lipoti:
NRC invites one member of your staff or other cognizant State person to a one day training session on the NRC Emergency Response Data System (ERDS) at the NRC's Region i Office on either September 17 or 18. The ERDS is are online, real time data transmission system for communicating plant systems information from nuclear power plants. This data is available for State decision makers following an emergency classification of Alert or higher and could be used to provide information on plant conditions for early protective actions decisions, i
The NRC is in the process of upgrading the ERDS software. This upgrade is available to States and training on both the upgrade and previous version of the software will be offered during the one day sessian. The NRC will pay for one State attandee. This person should have a good technical knowledge of plant parameters and how they affect protective actions as well as the ERDS system. They should also have the ability to take the information back to the State and train other potential ERDS L:sers.

Tizis is the 'K of P Nedical Building'. At that traffic light, make'a left turn. You are turning onto the access road. Follow the road,until it goes no further. You will pass by two parking lots on your left before you enter the thitn and final parking lot. Park in this lot. The NRC building is 'L' shaped Once in the lobby, and the main entrance is at the junction of the two wings.
you will see a door with an NRC logo on it. Ring the butaer and the receptionist Sign in and ask the receptionist to contact Personnel, will' admit you.
