March 25,1998 DLN:98:016 U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attn: Mr. Ronald D. Hauber, Assistant Director Exports, Security, and Safety Cooperation Office of International Programs Mail Stop-3H 5 Washington, DC 20555

Dear Mr. Hauber:

Enclosed is a request for issuance of an export license to authorize the shipment of 425,000 kgs of enriched uranium to Advanced Nuclear Fuels GmbH l-Ge.<ieny. The material will be shipped in the form of UO, Powder, UO Pellets, UF. and var'ous other forms of powder oxides of uranium including U 0 and UO. The material is intended for t.se in nuclear power reactors 3

3 located within the EURATOM Community.

Along with the NRC Form 7 application, a summary of reactors and reloads for which we have planned exports is attached. Where available, we have included the assigned EURATOM contract numbers. In addition, quantities identified as working stock have been included in the I

schedule to allow for productions shifts between plants for efficiency purposes.

A check for $2,900 is enclosed.
