This letter provides the objectives for the Umerick Generating Station (LGS), Units 1 and 2,1997 Annual Emergency Preparedness Exercise. The exercles is scheduled to be conducted ons
< June 34;1997,#This exercise is a biennial full participation exercise which involves full "participellon from offsite emergency response agencies, This Information is being submitted 90 days prior to the scheduled exercise date in accordance with an NRC letter to PECO Energy Company dated August 9,1989, regarding the submittal of ' Emergency Exercise Objectives and Scenario Guidelines?
The Emergency Preparedness Exorcise objective Information attached to this letter is of a confidential nature and is not for public disclosure. The August 9,1989 letter identifies which individuals should receive copies of the exercise objective information. However, based on discussions with NRC Region I representatives conceming the submittal of exercise objective and scenario information, the objectives for the LGS 1997 Annual Emergency Preparedness Exercise will only be distributed to those individuals involved in evaluating this exercise.
