VOOTLR ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT TECliNICAL SPECIFICATION REPORT l 97 2 NUMBER OF STEAM GENERATOR TUBES PLUGGED DURING 1R7 In accordance with the requirements of Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Technical Specification 5.6.10, Southern Nuclear Operating Company submits this repost for the number of steam generator (50) tubes plugged during the Unit I seventh f
maintenance / refueling outage (lR7).
As a result of the SG tube inservice inspections completed on October 5,1997, a total of fifteen (15) tubes were plugged. Three (3) of these tubes exceeded the Technical Specification tube p'agging limit (40 percent of the nominal tube wall thickness). The remaining twelve (12) tubes were plugged either as a precautionary measure (9), or due to obstructions in the tubes (3).
