Dear Mr. Anderson:
I am writing this letter to thank you for your invitation to the pre-operational review for the Riverton, Wyoming remedial action.- I have discussed such-participation with Dale Smith, Director of the NRC Uranium Recovery Field Office, and we feel that NRC participation would not be advantageous in light of available staff re u urces.
However, should relevant topics specifically impacting NRC's UMTRA involvement arise in the future, NRC would consider participating in a pre-operational review.
In any case, it would be appreciated if you could provide any written summary or meeting notes resulting from such a review for our information.
