We have completed our review of the revised Exhibit 6 to the uhiprock, New MexicoRemedialActionPlanModificationNumber4(RAPMod4),submittedbyDOE letter dated October 8, 1990.

Our review indicate? that, in general, your revisions to RAP Mod 4, made in

("1 response to comments by the Navajo Nation, do not affect the conclusions and issues identified in our Technical Evaluation Report (TER) issued in February 1990.

However, the additional groundwater level data presented in this revision does relate to the TER issue on the alluvial groundwater flow directionanddischargelocation(seeTERSection1.5, Issue 1.b).

This data should be considered in developing final groundwater contours for both sides of the river, and should be presented and discussed when responding to the TER issues during the groundwater restoration phase of the UMTRA project.
