Dear Sir:

This letter is in regard to License Humber SNM-1055.

There is some information I need pertaining to the performance of leak tests. The procedure has been for me to take a smear cample and mail the sample to the Numec Corporation for evaluation.

I would like to have authorization to perform the evaluation here at the university. This would be accomplished through the use of a solid state detector in a small vacuum chamber and a multi-channel pulse height analyzer.

Is this suggested procedure to be considered a change in the li, cense conditions for which I must submit an application?

Please advise me in regard to the following questions:

(1) is this authorization necessary, and; (2) if necessary, what procedure must I follow to obtain such authorization?
